Two warranties cover a new system: the manufacturer’s, on the equipment, and ours, on the work. The first one only pays what it promises if it is registered — and the filing window is short. So we file it, in your name, before the truck leaves the driveway.
The manufacturer warranty
Warranty terms come from the manufacturer and vary by equipment. On Trane systems, registered coverage runs longer than the base coverage, and Trane gives homeowners a limited window after installation to register. We register every system we install in your name and give you the confirmation. Already have a Trane and not sure it was registered? Check or file it at trane.com — you need the serial number from the data plate on the outdoor unit.
Our warranty on the work
The labor warranty on installations and repairs is printed on your estimate and your invoice — the term, what it covers and how to use it. If you cannot find your paperwork, call (210) 495-7771 and a real person reads it to you from the job record.
What voids a warranty (and how we avoid it)
- Mixing old and new. Modern condensers are rated with a specific coil and blower; pairing a new condenser with an old coil gives up the efficiency you paid for and can void the coverage. Matched systems only.
- Skipping registration. Unregistered equipment falls back to the shorter base warranty. We file it for you.
- No maintenance record. Manufacturers can ask for proof the system was serviced. Comfort Club members get their tune-ups tracked and dated in their account.
- Unpermitted work. A mechanical permit and inspection are part of every installation we do.
See your dates
Comfort Club members can sign in and see the parts and labor warranty dates we have on file for every system at their address — and the serial numbers, masked, so a warranty call takes one minute.
