01 / How your system works Cooling & heating, live

Every part we touch on a service call.

A working system is five components moving air in a loop. Switch between cooling and heating, watch the air travel, and click any marker to see what we check.

03 / The control Authorized Trane dealer

Most systems guess. This one talks.

A conventional system is a light switch with extra steps — on, or off, and that's the whole vocabulary. A communicating system holds a conversation, tuning itself to what's actually happening in your house. Turn it over, then drive it.

Right-sized, not guessed

Professional load calculation before any install — an oversized or undersized system costs you comfort and money for a decade.

Humidity is a setting

The control holds temperature and humidity instead of leaving moisture as whatever falls out of the coil. That's the whole game in South Texas.

Installed by the crew that answers

Family-owned, professionally operated — the people who install it are the people who stand behind it.

Trane Comfort Specialist

Trane doesn't hand this out. It takes factory training, passing their testing — and holding a 4.6★ or better rating, checked continuously. We sit at 4.7★ across 4,122 reviews.

Nothing breaks in April.

It breaks in August, at four in the afternoon, when it's 103° and every crew in town is already booked. And it breaks because nobody looked at it in April. The Comfort Club is the April visit — plus Cowboys System Intelligence watching the equipment year-round, and a standing place at the front of our line.

The card we leave on your table.

When a Cowboy sits down with you about a new system, this is what comes out of the folder. Five levels side by side — efficiency, staging, what each one actually includes — and every guarantee and warranty printed on the back. No mystery sheet, no “let me call my manager.” You keep the card.

Straight from the factory floor.

Things we tell customers every week — every one traceable back to Trane's own engineering resources, written in our words.

01 · Critical here

Bigger is not better

An oversized system blasts cold, hits the setpoint and shuts off before it has pulled any moisture out of the air — leaving your house cold and clammy.

02 · Critical here

Keep the drain line clear

Water near the indoor unit, rust, or a musty smell means the condensate line is plugging up. Our humidity makes far more condensate than most of the country.

03 · Critical here

Aim for 30–50% humidity

Above 60% you get mold, dust mites, warped floors and worse asthma — and down here your AC alone may not keep up with it.

04 · Critical here

Leaky ducts waste money

A typical home loses 20–30% of conditioned air to duct leaks. In a 140° attic that's pulling scorching, dusty, unfiltered air into the house.

05

Give the condenser two feet

Keep landscaping two feet back on every side. Garden hose only — a pressure washer bends the fins.

06

Set it back, don't shut it off

A 7–10° setback for eight hours a day cuts costs about 10% a year. Just don't set back so far that humidity climbs while you're out.

11 / Straight answers No runaround

Honest advice, no runaround.

Costs, sizing, permits, repair-or-replace. Twenty answers with real numbers →

Why is my AC running but not cooling?

It could be airflow, a dirty filter, low refrigerant, the outdoor unit, frozen coils, a thermostat issue, or a failing component. Because San Antonio heat puts heavy demand on cooling systems, it's best to schedule service before the problem gets worse — we'll identify the cause and recommend the right repair.

How cold should my AC blow?

A healthy system cools about 15–20° below the outdoor temperature. In peak heat it may run longer, but it should still produce cold air and pull humidity. If it feels weak or warm, have it checked.

Do you offer 24/7 emergency service?

Yes — holidays, weekends, the middle of the night. If the weather doesn't wait, neither do we. Call (210) 495-7771 any time.

Are you a Trane dealer?

Yes — we're an authorized Trane dealer and Comfort Specialist, and we service every major brand, so you're never locked in.

What is the 3-minute rule for AC?

Your system should have a brief delay before restarting after it shuts off — this protects the compressor and prevents unnecessary wear. Most modern thermostats manage it automatically. Frequent on/off cycling can signal short cycling or another issue worth inspecting.

What areas do you serve?

San Antonio and the surrounding Hill Country — Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Wilson and Medina counties.
