Somebody told you the compressor is gone, or the whole system has to go, and the number on the quote made you sit down. Before you sign, let a Cowboy look at it. The second opinion is free, there is no pressure, and whatever we find goes on paper — the same written price we give every customer.
1 · Send us the quote
A photo of the estimate or a note about what you were told. Use the form here, or call and a real person will take it down.
2 · A tech checks the diagnosis
We test the system ourselves — refrigerant, electrical, airflow, the part they named — instead of taking the first finding at face value.
3 · You get our price in writing
Repair or replace, options side by side, the price written before any work. If the first quote was right, we tell you that too.
What we look at
- The part they named. A “bad compressor” is often a failed capacitor, contactor or a low refrigerant charge. We measure before we agree.
- Repair vs. replace, honestly. Age, the refrigerant it runs on, the condition of the coil and the ductwork, and what the repair buys you — written down so you can compare.
- Sizing, if a new system is on the table. A new unit is load-calculated for your house, not copied off the old nameplate.
- The warranty. If the equipment is still under manufacturer warranty, a repair may cost far less than you were quoted.
