These terms cover your use of cowboysac.com, the Scout tool, and the way we quote and perform heating and air-conditioning work. By using the site or hiring us you agree to them. The written proposal, invoice or membership agreement you sign for a specific job is the contract for that job; these terms sit underneath it and fill the gaps.
1. Using this site
You may use the site to learn about our services, ask for a callback or quote, book online, apply for a job, join the Comfort Club or use Scout. You agree not to misuse it — no scraping, no attempts to get into systems you are not meant to reach, no sending us content that is unlawful or harmful, and no submitting other people's details without their permission. You must be 18 or older to request service or submit a form.
2. Our services
Cowboy's Air Conditioning & Heating Inc. is a Texas air-conditioning and refrigeration contractor (TDLR license TACLB27173C). We repair, maintain, replace and install residential and light-commercial heating, cooling, ductwork, indoor-air-quality and thermostat equipment in San Antonio and the surrounding counties. Appointments are subject to availability; during extreme weather we prioritise emergencies and Comfort Club members. “24/7” means a real person picks up around the clock and we dispatch after hours; after-hours visits may carry an after-hours charge unless you are a Comfort Club member or we tell you otherwise when you book.
3. Quotes & pricing
- The price is in writing before work starts. After diagnosis your technician presents the price for the repair, or the options for a replacement, on paper or on the tablet, and nothing is done until you approve it.
- A diagnostic or service-call fee may apply to a repair visit; the amount is told to you when you book. When a special waives it, the terms of that special apply.
- Prices on this site (for example, the Comfort Club monthly price) are current as of the effective date above and may change; the price you agree to in writing is the one that applies to your job.
- Payment is due as stated on your proposal or invoice. Deposits on equipment orders are stated on the proposal. We accept the payment methods listed on your invoice; financing is through the partners in section 7.
- If you need to cancel or move an appointment, call us as early as you can. Equipment that has been specially ordered for you may not be returnable once ordered.
4. Comfort Club
- The Cowboys Comfort Club is a monthly membership, currently $24.99 a month, with no contract — cancel at any time by calling or emailing us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month.
- Sending the sign-up form on this site is a request to join. Nothing is billed until a Cowboy has called you, confirmed the systems covered and the billing details, and you have said yes.
- Membership benefits (for example, no after-hours fees, discounted repairs, a replacement credit, priority scheduling) are as described on the Comfort Club page and in your membership confirmation at the time you join. Benefits apply to the systems and address on your membership and are not transferable or redeemable for cash. A replacement credit applies to a full system replacement installed by us while your membership is active.
- Benefits cannot be combined with other specials unless the special says so.
- If a payment fails we will try to reach you; benefits pause until the account is current.
5. Specials
Specials on this site are valid through the date shown on the Specials page, for residential customers in our service area, one per visit, must be mentioned when you book or before the work is approved, and cannot be combined with Comfort Club pricing or other offers unless stated. Discounts for seniors, first responders, educators and military apply to equipment and parts on presentation of reasonable proof of eligibility. We may end or change a special at any time; a special you have already been quoted in writing is honored.
6. Scout
Scout shows manufacturer-published dimensions and specifications for equipment and lets you preview it at true size using your phone's augmented-reality viewer. It is a visualisation aid, not a quote and not a sizing recommendation. The right equipment for a home is determined by a load calculation and a site visit; dimensions, clearances and fit must be verified in person before anything is ordered. Equipment images and models are illustrative and may differ from the unit installed.
7. Financing
Financing is offered through third-party lenders — currently Synchrony, Wisetack and Service Finance — and is subject to their credit approval, terms and conditions. We are not a lender and do not make credit decisions. “0%” and other promotional offers are the lender's, apply only to approved applicants, and are described in the lender's agreement with you. A soft credit check (Wisetack) does not affect your score; a full application may.
8. Warranties
Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty, which we register in your name where the manufacturer allows. Our labor warranty, if any, is stated on your proposal or invoice. Warranties are described in those documents and in the manufacturer's literature; this page does not add to or change them. Warranties generally do not cover damage from neglect, misuse, power problems, work by others, or lack of maintenance.
9. Our content
The text, photographs, films, drawings, 3-D models, logos and the Cowboy's name on this site belong to us or our licensors. You may view and print pages for your own use in dealing with us; please do not copy or reuse them otherwise without asking. Trane and other manufacturers' names and marks belong to them.
10. Liability
The site is provided as-is; we try to keep it accurate and available but cannot promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent Texas law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the site or from our services, and our total liability for any claim relating to a job is limited to the amount you paid for that job — except where the loss is caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or where the law does not allow the limit. Nothing here limits the rights you have under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act or any warranty we give you in writing.
11. Licensing
Regulated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Cowboy's Air Conditioning & Heating Inc., license TACLB27173C. Complaints or inquiries: TDLR, P.O. Box 12157, Austin, Texas 78711 · 1-800-803-9202 · 512-463-6599 · www.tdlr.texas.gov.
12. Texas law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute that we cannot settle by talking will be heard in the state or federal courts in Bexar County, Texas, and you agree to that jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
13. Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version here with a new effective date. The terms in force when you approved a job apply to that job.
